Prince Charles to visit island where Prince Philip is a god

Prince Charles will also tour the country to learn how locals recovered from 2015's devastating Cyclone Pam.

Prince Charles of Wales is all set to tour Australia to launch the Commonwealth Games on behalf of the Queen.

His tour will see him visit the Pacific island, Vanuatu, where some island tribes idolize Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh as a god.

The people of Tanna, one of Vanuatu's many islands, worship Prince Philip like a deity.

Prince Charles will also tour the country to learn how locals recovered from 2015's devastating Cyclone Pam.

The tour, which begins on April 4, will also include Prince Charles meeting the family of Australian wildlife expert Steve Irwin, famously known as the 'Crocodile Hunter'.

Irwin's family and Prince Charles will get together on a Great Barrier Reef island to highlight the plight of the world’s coral reefs.
