In order to live fully, It is important to de-stress, break from the shackles of the past or get trapped in the anxieties of the future.
We often hear the question “How are you?” and the response is always the same, “I am fine”. But did you ever ask yourself, “Am I truly fine?”
How many of you often lie in bed wide awake, stressed, depressed, anxious, feeling extremely exhausted and yet unable to rest. That means you are definitely worrying more and living less.
Most of our stress comes because we are either living in the past which creates disappointment and anger or in the future which adds to stress and fear that we have no control on. We are always searching for a better moment that never comes and rarely do we ever live in the present moment, which is the main key to a meaningful and happy life.
Tools to live more:
Reconnect with your heart: Sadly, most people today are caught up in judging others and finding logic in everything. Start looking at life from your heart. Observe children, they are indeed our greatest teachers — living fully with no worries of the future or bitterness of the past, always having fun and appreciating the simplest things.
Let go of control: We are trying hard to control the environment and if things don’t go our way we lose the plot but we have no control within. One opinion/criticism from another can crash our inner world completely. The moment you come to a deeper understanding that it’s not other’s opinions and criticism but your response that decides who you really are, you have taken a big leap towards living life fully.
Trust the universe and take responsibility: Whatever is happening is for your greater good as you are the co-creator. How you live with the situation is your choice. You can either go through it by cribbing, playing the blame game or with faith and awareness that I have definitely done something to attract this situation in my life, nothing is permanent and this too shall pass.
Face your thoughts: Thoughts are energy based the more you resist, the more they multiply. We have to ask ourselves “How are they helping me? Is it making me stronger or weaker?” It’s time to change the pattern.
Create your own reality: Stay away from news where most information is exaggerated and fear based. Keep away from details that serve no purpose.
Love yourself fully: Always completing with other people, trying hard to fit in. “I have to lose weight, my face needs correction, a better car, new job etc”. High time that you realise that you are not a rat and definitely not a part of the rat race. Embrace yourself, your uniqueness cause not a single person on this planet is like you. Stay away from facebook, instagram etc that is mostly fake and gives way to sadness and competition.
Give time to loved ones: When eating a meal with your family have a positive conversation, give them love, be present truly.
Celebrate yourself: Take out time for yourself and do the things that you love. For some it might be walking in the park or by the sea, cooking, meditation, exercising, dancing, listening to music or playing a certain sport. Be grateful.
