Artist Deepali Jain had always been inclined towards art. She says as far as she can remember, she had always been an artist at heart. As a child, she spent hours creating artwork with broken bangles, or making landscapes using pulses. Creating new things from used articles always fascinated her. Painting is the way of self-discovery for many. But for Deepali it is a way of expression. “Though each one of us have different means, some may express through words, some through drawing and even others through creating an app. Whatever we are passionate about, will ultimately take us within and we finally understand that the world resides within us,” says Deepali.

For her, real art began when she joined the Hong Kong Art Centre to learn the free hand style or the xie yi style of ink painting. She will showcasing her solo exhibition in Delhi on May 26 at India Habitat Center.

Her paintings are inspired by her journey and experience she gained while traveling around cities and countries. “I began my journey of creating landscapes that were inspired by my own travels,” Deepali adds.
