'I lost my mother too': Prince William tells mourning girl

The Duke of Cambridge opened up about his mother to help the girl mourn her father's death

Talking about death is always tough but it is important to move on from there so that it we don't have problems. Princes are hounded by the media at all times and talking about death is hard especially if it is Princess Diana's son Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge has spoken about his mother before but never to comfort a small child in her time of grief.

According to a report in the Metro, Prince William recently visited a Child Bereavement Centre where he met Aoife, a nine-year-old girl mourning her father’s death. The Duke spoke about his mother, Princess Diana’s death and told the girl that his mummy too died when he was young’ to comfort her. He later revealed that he was very angry but he recovered from it.

Aoife’s father had died from pancreatic cancer six years ago and was really sad about it when the Prince told her not to bottle up her grief and she should talk about it to as many people as she can, to recover.

After the meeting with William, Aiofe's mother Marie said, "I couldn't believe it when he started to talk about his mother. It was very emotional and I was willing myself not to start to cry. I almost did.”
