Women, find out the scents which help seduce men
While some indulgent pampering and new lingerie may help take a relationship to the next level, everything could fall flat if you make a crucial mistake with your perfume.
While perfumes not only help boost confidence for seduction, the right kind of set can increase passion, while others will place you firmly in the friend zone.
Speaking to MailOnline, fragrance expert Karen Gilbert speaks about how to use perfume to feel more seductive.
Choose seductive notes: Jasmine and Ylang Ylang are usually associated with seduction and romance and appeal to everyone. For subtlety, one should choose soft musk notes with a touch of creamy sandalwood. For an air of mystery, choose notes of oriental amber and incense with a touch of spice.
Avoid ‘Friend Zone’ Scents: Heady florals and exotic ambers all have an underlying 'animalic' note that triggers a primal response in us. However, perfume notes such as zingy citrus colognes, green florals and aquatic marine fragrances are not the best choice for romance and seduction and should be left for the gym or office.
Layering fragrance: Fragrance only lasts a certain amount of time on skin and rather than constantly applying more one should layer their main perfume with other products.
Layering with a body cream will help the fragrance to last on skin and spraying your scent into the air and walking through it will give you a mist on your hair and clothes too.
Scent is important for lingerie and sheets as well.Scent choice should extend to lingerie and bedsheets as well.
Choose fragrance you love: One of the main reasons we wear scent is to feel good. According to Gilbert, one should feel happy and confident in their scent for them to be more alluring to others.
She adds, “Scent is a means of communication without words - so choose the best scent to tell the story you wish to portray.”
Ignore fashion trends if you don't feel they suit you and pick a fragrance that works with your own body scent, paying close attention to how the smell evolves on your skin through the day.
