Dad trains pet dog to supervise daughter's homework
Dogs are generally notorious for eating up kids’ homework, but not this one. A father in China employed an innovative method to make sure his daughter does her homework rather than use her phone: get the pet dog to watch over her.
The man trained the dog, Fantuan, to stand with its front legs on the table as the girl completes her homework. The dog makes sure that she doesn’t procrastinate on the phone and concentrates on her homework, reported NDTV .
"I trained it to guard food from the cat when it was young," said Xu Liang, a resident of the Guizhou province in China. "Then one day, I found my daughter was naughty when she was doing her homework. I came up with an idea to let Fantuan watch over its sister, supervise her to do her homework."
His daughter, Xinya, now does her homework with the pet watching over her. She said that she doesn’t mind as it is better than doing her homework alone and it also helps her concentrate. It feels like being accompanied by a classmate," she added.
Fantuan also supervises his human sister’s piano lessons and gets treats in return.
