Parrot stuck on roof for 3 days told firefighters to 'f*** off' when they tried to rescue her
Can it get more bizarre and funny than this? Firefighters called to rescue a parrot stuck on a roof for three days were told to “f*** off” -- by the parrot.
According to a story published in The Sun, the macaw’s owner raised the alarm because she feared her pet, named Jessie, was injured after escaping from her home in Edmonton, North London.
The crew were told to bond with the parrot by saying “I love you,” which Jessie repeated.
According to Watch Manager Chris Swallow, Jessie had been on the same roof for three days and there were concerns that she may be injured which is why she hadn't come down.
"Our crew manager was the willing volunteer who went up the ladder to try and bring Jessie down.,” he added.
He went on to say that they were told to bond with the parrot by telling her “I love you,’ and that is what they did.
While Jessie responded 'I love you' back, they then discovered that she had a bit of a foul mouth and kept swearing, much to the firefighters’ amusement.
It turns out that Jessie speaks Turkish and Greek as well so the brave men tried cajoling her into coming in multiple languages.
However, it soon became apparent that the macaw was fine and uninjured and they left her on her perch.
