Everybody has their share of drunk stories and doing crazy things that normal people wouldn’t do but two Irish guys took it a step further.
William Meara, 26, and Craig Reynolds, 24, were trekking through the Middle East when they met Kurdish fighters battling the ISIS. Amidst all fun, game and drinks the backpackers were taken to what is said to be the only active war zone.
The backpackers wrote about their journey on a blog where they mentioned that they went through several refugee camps and met high-profile officials along with the commander of the area. However, they were told to head back as they did not have any military training to be on the frontline in case of an emergency and it wasn’t safe.
Looks like the Irishmen won’t be forgetting their adventure anytime soon, after this eventful drunk night.
