Skin conditions like vitiligo affect millions across the globe and while many do face difficulties due to it, the stigma and insecurities that come along make life a daily struggle for people across the world. The attitude towards people with vitiligo in some parts of the world can leave one devastated and take a toll on self confidence.

But one individual affected by vitiligo has risen above all prejudices and has stunned everyone with her looks to become a super model. Now Winnie Harlow is using the platform and popularity she has to spread awareness and send a strong message for body positivity.

In a bid to tell people to love their bodies, Harlow stripped down to nude coloured thongs as she showed off her skin in a racy picture on Instagram. She strikes a stunning pose confidently displaying her toned physique.

The 23-year-old who was diagnosed with vitiligo at the age of four wrote, 'The real difference isn't my skin. It's the fact that I don't find my beauty in the opinions of others. I'm beautiful because I know it. Celebrate your unique beauty today (& everyday)!'

She was often taunted for her skin and called a cow in school for her skin and dropped out of school at 17. Her journey to success begin with America’s Next Top Model in 2014 and she calls herself the ‘vitiligo spokesmodel’ on Instagram.
