Apple and lemon
Apples help you get evenly toned skin. They are rich in an antioxidant called phloretin, which prevent the formation of wrinkles. You can make a mask from apples and lemon. Take two tablespoons of lemon juice to one whole pureed apple. Apply this on your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water, and do this twice a week.
Green tea and lemon
You can make an excellent toner using two easily available ingredients: lemons and green tea. Take 1/4th cup fresh lemon juice, one cup of boiling hot water and a green tea bag. Add water to the lemon juice, and put in your tea bag. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Take a cotton pad and gently apply this mixture in sweeping motion. Don’t rinse off after applying. You can use this twice a day.
Papaya and lemon
Papaya also contains vitamin C and helps in brightening your complexion. You can make a face mask using papaya as a base. Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice to mashed papaya pulp, along with two tablespoons of honey and 1/4th cup plain yogurt. Gently massage it all over your face. It’s quite gentle on your skin. Rinse off with lukewarm water. You can apply this mixture thrice a week.
