A natural flush!

This look can be bold, soft or demure, it's all about how intense you go.

Say good bye to sculpted cheekbones and piles of foundation, this season is all about natural flushed cheeks. Contouring is a good thing but stash it away for now and use the blush instead. This trend requires fewer tools and skills. Flushed rosy cheeks are key to a healthy looking complexion, but make sure to choose the right shade and texture keeping your skin tone and type in mind.

How to make this trend work.
1. Choose the right blush:
Can't decide between powder or cream blushes?
Powders are perfect for people who are prone to breakouts or if you have oily skin.
Cream blushes are good for people with dry skin as they don't settle into your fine lines and hydrate your skin.

2. Pick the right shade :
Choose a colour base close to your skin tone. A good thumb rule is to select tones found on your lips.
For light to medium go for mid tone pinks and corals
For medium to dark go for deep reds and deep pinks.

3. Application:
Start by swirling your brush onto the apples of your cheeks, blend it back along your cheeks towards your temples, fading it into your skin

4. Tools :
Try using smaller dome shaped brushes for powder blushes and use a sponge or beauty blender if you are using a liquid or cream blush.
This look can be bold, soft or demure, it's all about how intense you go.
