There are many people who preach about social service but not many do it on a daily basis. A Hyderabad man however is practicing what he preaches for the last five years now by feeding people everyday, so that nobody goes hungry. The man has now started the ‘Do Roti’ campaign to encourage other people to donate food every day.

According to a media report, Azhar Maqsusi has been distributing food under a flyover in Hyderabad to feed as many people as he can so that nobody goes hungry. His campaign is an attempt to fight hunger and poverty by encouraging people to carry two rotis extra everyday when they leave for work and feed people on the way. The 37-year-old started by distributing rotis to nearly 150 people on the first day of the campaign. He also simultaneously runs a free-food camp under the Chanchalguda Flyover and Secunderabad Gandhi Hospital.

Maqsusi started the camp after he saw many people begging on the road without eating for days and his time as a child. After his father died at the age of four, his mother struggled to feed his siblings and on many days he even slept empty stomach and survived.
