An adorable one-month-old disabled lamb finally took its first steps with the help of a specially-made stroller.

Pam was abandoned in a field sometime in August when she was just a few days old, but the kind people at Santuario Igualdad, a shelter which cares for 80 farm animals in El Monte, Chile rescued her and have cared for her since.

The volunteers from Santuario Igualdad nursed the little lamb back to health, keeping her warm and feeding her vitamins hoping she would be able to walk someday.

However, when on being examined it was found that Pam's inability to walk was because of devastating spinal damage that may have ocurred in the womb.

The vets said that Pam will never walk again by herself, so her rescuers decided to get the little lamb a wheelchair-type device made specially for sheep.

Footage on the Santuario Igualdad page shows Pam struggling to stand up, let alone walk, however, a video uploaded later is the most heartwarming thing you will ever see.

It shows Pam bounce up and own on her with the help of the wheelchair and she seems ecstatic. Pam's legs are bound by pink bandages so that they remain stiff and don't open up allowing her to use the stroller by herself.

Office manager at Santuario Igualdad, Isadora Godoy, said to the Daily Mail, "If she hadn't have been found she would have died in a day or two but we will care for her for the rest of her life."

Isadora also says that Pam may always need a wheelchair, and that she will ever be able to walk normally.

A fundraiser was launched to get Pam a new wheelchair as the one she is currently using is too heavy and large as it was made for bigger sheep with disabilities and the new one will better fit her size.
