Extremely rare two-headed baby copperhead snake spotted in Virginia
While the world knows about several spectacular creatures which exist in nature, there are still many we are yet to come across. Although snakes can be terrifying, some rare serpents can be equally astonishing.
Breathtaking images of a two headed baby copperhead snake have been doing the rounds after it was seen in Virginia. The man who found it called the Virginia Herpetological Society who identified the species.
Wild bicephalic snakes are considered to be very rare as they don’t live long. The serpent was taken to Wildlife Center of Virginia where officials will examine how two heads have been functioning with a single body.
The snake also has two tracheas with the left one being more developed. The heads have one heart and one pair of lungs.
