My grandma was my best friends, says Mouli Ganguly

My relationship with my nani was the best bond that I had ever shared with any other person in my life. I feel no other woman in your life will quite compare to your grandma. She’s the ultimate friend, and she always has the best advice to offer you.

No girlfriend, best friend, aunt, niece or cousin will ever outdo your grandma. I used to be her pet. I even used to address her as ma. She was a school principal and had a very strong personality. Because of that, people used to respect her, and she was known for being strict. But somehow I used to get away with almost anything with her.

Of course, she also used be strict when required. My gran was my best friend, she would cuddle me up at night and tell her a few stories about her life. I felt so safe in her arms, sometimes I would even cry just knowing that she won’t always be here. She is no more now and I miss her so much. But I know deep down in my heart she will always stay with me.
