Sex might be the same as good music: study
Sex is one of the most stimulating experiences in the world as it taps into several pleasure centres of the brain at once and boosts confidence as well as satisfaction in people. There are few experiences that can match sexual intercourse, and researchers suggest that music is one of them.
A study pointed out similarities between sex and music by mentioning that sex is a rhythmic activity which triggers complete sensory absorption and causes neurons in the brain to oscillate at a common frequency. It says that if this process is intense enough and goes on for long, it can result in a complete loss of self awareness.
The idea is that sex triggers activity of a rhythmic nature in the mind, which is similar to the kind of effect that music has on the brain and this is why sometimes an intense song can feel similar to sex if not the same, as it also causes a complete loss of self awareness.
The theory is in line with scientific understanding of orgasms which says that they are caused by rhythmic stimulation of body parts with heightened sensory reception. So adjusting a rhythm while having sex makes one a good lover just as it makes someone a good dancer.
