London: The sexual health of an individual is hindered by physical as well as psychological conditions and heart diseases along alongside other severe ailments may affect a person's performance in bed, and even ruin relationships.

While reports of a man in his 20s suffering a heart attack in Taiwan raised concern, a new study shows that sex can cause potentially fatal asthma attacks in patients, as 43,000 young people in Britain alone have been hospitalised after suffering an asthma attack during intercourse.

A large number of patients faced the difficulty while performing oral sex as 68 percent patients admitted that their sex lives were affected by the ailment. 73 percent said that they were left embarrassed due to pulling out the inhaler while having sex.

But apart from the act itself, the environment has a hand as many suggested that the scented candles or perfumes have triggered symptoms on many occasions. Other causes were latex in condoms and strong smell from flowers.

Some of those facing issues say they have cut down on how much sex they have to the extent of giving up on it completely, while others mentioned how their struggle led to lower self confidence and eventually ruined their relationship.
