Same does not hold true for men as their sexual interest does not fade over time.

A new study finds that women get bored of having sex with their partner after just a year of being together.

According to the study, women are four times more likely to not care about having a passionate night than those in shorter relationships.

However, the same does not hold true for men as their sexual interest does not fade over time, say researchers.

The research, conducted by Southhampton University was based on answers from 11,508 participants.

The study also found that 34 percent women said that they lacked interest in sex, compared with 15 percent of men, the study published in BMJ Open found.

The study further said that both men and women were at risk of being put off by past experiences if they had forced sex.

Other passion-killers included poor mental and physical health or having STD.

For women, having three or more partners in a year or having children under five added to a decline in libido
