Women acting submissive during BDSM find other people's pain arousing
A large number of people across the globe try to get adventurous in bed and many may have unusual fetishes. But can these peculiar interests in bed actually tell us something about how a person’s mind functions?
Research has revealed that women who assume a submissive role during BDSM in bed may be aroused by other people’s pain. The findings showed that women who enjoy being tied up and whipped while having sex may not be moved a lot by someone else’s pain or may even find it arousing.
Experts suggest that bondage, discipline, dominance and submission have the potential to make people less empathetic to another person’s emotions and pain. The study showed that women who enjoy submission find expression of pain on someone else’s face less discomforting.
Previous research has showed that people participating in BDSM feel rejection less, are less neurotic and don’t worry much about what others think of them.
