New Delhi: A 22-year-old rape survivor was allegedly attacked on Thursday morning by two unidentified persons in Ambedkar Nagar, who threw acid at her. They threatened her to take back the rape case, which she had filed against her former boyfriend.

On Thursday, the police received information regarding the attack on the woman in Ambedkar Nagar area. A team rushed to the spot and found the 22-year-old girl with burn injuries on her leg, a senior police officer said.

At the spot, an empty bottle of toilet cleaner was also found with some liquid spilled on the road. The victim was discharged from hospital after treatment, the police said.

In her complaint, the victim stated that the incident took place at around 11.00 am on Thursday. She was on her way to work when her scooter broke down near Sarvodaya School in Dakshinpuri.

Suddenly, two boys came on a motorcycle and threw acid at her, which fell on her leg. They threatened her, saying that if she did not withdraw her case, the acid would be thrown at her face the next time, the officer said.

During initial investigation, it was reve-aled that the victim and one of the accused used to work together at a garment shop and were in a live-in relationship.
