3 traffic cops axed for taking bribe

New Delhi: One SI and two constables have been sent to police lines and suspended and  for accepting a bribe from a car driver, said the police on Friday.

As per the information, the victim was driving his car at a high speed and when the police stopped him, the driver started recording their conversation. In the video, it can be seen that the cops asked the driver to present the documents and the license.

He was told a challan of Rs 1,400 would be made as he was going above the permitted speed. Then a cop could be seen taking Rs 500 as a bribe. The joint CP, traffic, G. Bhatnagar said action would be taken against them.
