Show cause notice to eleven students of Kirori Mal College

Alleging discrimination, students, meanwhile, claimed that scores of students had reached the police station but only 11 were served notices.

New Delhi: Eleven students of Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College have been served show cause notices for protesting outside the Maurice Nagar police station on August 19 without informing the hostel warden.

Alleging discrimination, students, meanwhile, claimed that scores of students had reached the police station but only 11 were served notices.

The students have been asked to explain why should their admission to the hostel not be terminated for your misconduct, following which the enquiry committee will look into the matter and “recommend necessary action”. “After a fight broke out between two student groups, we called our warden. He said he was out and would not be able to be address the issue that very moment. So we went to the police demanding action,” a student said.
