Shiva idol to be set up in Mahakumbh, says Braj Nandan Ji Maharaj
New Delhi: A gigantic idol of Lord Shiva made of 1.25 crore silver ‘belpatram’ will be mounted in South Delhi during ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’, which is to be organised this month.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, Devashram Trust said that President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, governors and chief ministers of several states, MPs, and MLAs will be present on the occasion at Chhatarpur. Also, representatives from more than 75 countries world would attend the holy 10-day event, to be held from October 21 to 31.
Braj Nandan Ji Maharaj, Founder-President of Devashram Trust, said that the mahakumbh is being organised to foster global peace and unity.
During this, a string of social welfare program-mes, including marria-ge of underprivileged girls, honouring widows of martyrs, will also be org-anised. Further, a series of national-level programmes associated with Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, workshops on skill development and entrepreneurs, etc, will be held during the event.
Brand Ambassador of Devashram Trust and film actor Mukesh Khanna, said, “At a time when enmity is on the rise in the society and discord is increasing, events like ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’ will definitely show to the mankind the path leading to world peace.”
