Delhi Police bust arms suppliers’ gang, two arrested

New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, police team of Jagatpuri, East district arrested two bulk suppliers of illegal arms, including kingpin Kadeem, after an alleged shootout. As many as 10 pistols, including one 9MM pistol, nine live cartridges, one empty cartridge and one black Pulsar motorcycle, were recovered from their 
possession.

The police said the gang used to deliver pistols and live cartridges in across Delhi/NCR. The accused, who were on their way to a destination to deliver illegal arms, opened fire when intercepted by the police. The police said that Mr Kadeem, the kingpin was the arms supplier of the infamous Pasonda Gang and Namastey Gang. 

The accused persons confessed that they have delivered more than 500 illegal weapons in Delhi/NCR, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana  among other states. Supply of illegal arms by the two saw a rise in armed robberies and dacoities were in the area of Delhi and adjoining states. The police arrested many dacoits in this regard. 

Many sophisticated pistols were recovered from the possession of robbers/dacoits in the past  in Delhi/NCR and it proved to a major head-ache for the police to curtail the supply of illegal arms, they said. To reduce the use of latest firearms to commit crimes, the police doubled their efforts to nab the arms suppliers.

A special police team was formed to bust the arms suppliers’ gang and arrest the culprits.  Massive efforts and hard work of the police team bore fruit when head constable Rohtash received specific information that a supply of firearms destined for UP and Delhi/NCR would pass through Nala Road, Jagatpuri and will go towards Shashtri Park.

Armed with the information, the police team laid a trap for them at a school on Nala Road. At around 11.35 pm, one black Pulsar mobike came towards Nala Road. The police team quickly swung into action. Noticing that they were trapped, the pillion rider opened fire upon sub inspector R.N. Pathak, but the accused persons were immediately overpowered and arrested by the police team.
