Make swachchh survekshan a success: NDMC mayor
Agarwal asked the citizens to watch this portal and to extend their cooperation in the programme.
NEW DELHI: North Delhi Municipal Corporation mayor Preety Agarwal on Thursday appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the corporation in improving its ranking in ‘Swachchh Survekshan-2018’, which began on Thursday.
According to Ms Agarwal, the Union ministry of housing and urban affairs has prepared a short video presentation ‘Swachchh Survekshan-2018 Curtain Raiser highlighting the key aspects of this year’s ranking. The short film was available on the Swachchh Survekshan-2018 portal, she added.
Ms Agarwal asked the citizens to watch this portal and to extend their cooperation in the programme.
She further requested them to download ‘swachhta app’ on their mobile phones in order to locate a toilet or complain about them, if any.
“In case of any complaint or suggestion regarding sanitation, the citizens, the Mayor said, can call at the NDMC mayor’s helpline number 9643096430, central control room number 1266 or 1800-11-8700 and 1800-200-8701,” she added.
The NDMC mayor also urged the people change their habits as well as their their mindset towards sanitation.
