Two juveniles among five held for dacoity
New Delhi: With the arrest of five accused persons, the Delhi police in north district solved a case of armed dacoity within 12 hours. Recovery of robbed cash amounting Rs 13,86,500, three country made pistols, 19 live cartridges, one newly purchased mobile phone, one motorcycle used in the commission of offence have been made from hem.
The accused were identified as, Mohsin (24), Md. Sarfraz Alam (24), Amaan (23), Kasim (23) and Sachin (19).
As per the police, on March 3, an incident of the armed dacoity took place at a stationary shop located in Old Lajpat Rai Market, Chandni Chowk. There were two employees there at the time of incident. Both had brought payment worth Rs 18 lakhs in the shop minutes before the robbers struck the shop and stole cash amounting Rs 18,00,000 and a bag containing passbook, chequebook and a purse and fled.
