Cops arrest Vehicle lifter; 23 cars, 2 bikes recovered

New Delhi: The sleuths of West district’s Janakpuri arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered 25 stolen vehicles and four master keys used in stealing the vehicles.

With his arrest, the police claimed to have solved 25 cases of motor vehicle thefts.

According to the police, the arrested accused was identified as Ravi alias Karan (28), a  resident of Kirti Nagar. He was previously involved in as many as 41 cases of motor vehicle thefts registered in different police stations across the capital.

On February 28, the police was patrolling in the Janakpuri area and when they reached near Tihar Jail gate No.4, they noticed that a person was running in suspicious condition.

When they chased, they identiied him as Ravi who is an vehicle lifter. On his cursory search four master keys used in stealing the vehicles have been recovered.

Meanwhile, one complainant reached there and informed that he saw the said person in suspicious condition inside his Esteem Car and he fled off after seeing him.

Immediately, Ravi was apprehended and interrogated. The team successfully recovered 25 stolen vehicles which include 23 cars and two bikes.
