Ghaziabad: Newborn killed by her mother
Her family members told the police that they had never demanded a male child from her.
Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old mother smothered her newborn girl child to death and then put the infant’s body in a washing machine.
The incident took place in Ghaziabad and the woman confessed to the crime, saying she was disappointed when she delivered a girl and not a boy.
SSP Akash Tomar told reporters that the woman said she was angry with herself when she delivered a baby girl about three months ago.
In a fit of anger, she smothered the baby with a pillow on Monday and then stuffed her body in the washing machine.
When the baby was found missing, the mother alleged that she had been kidnapped but during interrogation, she broke down and confessed to murder.
Her family members told the police that they had never demanded a male child from her.
