Illegal casino busted in East Delhi, 6 arrested

According to police, the organiser has been arrested in the past as well for running other such gaming houses.

New Delhi: A Delhi police team busted an illegal gaming house-cum-casino and arrested six persons, including the manager.

According to DCP (East) Pankaj Kumar Singh, on May 5, they received a tip-off regarding an illegal gaming house-cum-casino at Krishan Kunj in Laxmi Nagar.

The information was verified and found to be correct. Thereafter, a raid was conducted at the said premises. The raiding team found 15 play stations/desktops within the premises, which were used for playing and for online bidding games.

The organisers lured customers, who wanted to play, to bid a minimum sum of Rs 1,000 on online numbers. If someone got the online number right, the lucky customer was promised a sum of Rs 36,000.

According to police, the organiser has been arrested in the past as well for running other such gaming houses.

The arrested are Rohit Sharma, Sunny Chhabra, Sachin Kumar, Rishi Kesh, and Pankaj Mishra. The arrested manager has been identified as Amit Kashyap (26).
