New Delhi: In a bid to make its presence felt in the Uttar Pradesh’s multinational hub, the Aam Aadmi Party has organised a “Jan Adhikar” rally in Noida on Saturday. The rally, which will mark the conclusion of the ‘padyatra’ organised under the leadership of AAP leader Sanjay Singh, will witness the presence of former Union minister Yashwant Sinha and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha. Both the leaders will share the stage with AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

During the rally, issues such as loan waiver for the farmers, unemployment of the youth, regularisation of the contractual labour, increasing the stature of the teachers, women security, and others facing the country will be taken up. The rally, which will take place in Sector 46, Noida, will be addressed by senior AAP leaders.

Party insiders said that the work was ongoing to make the rally a success by establishing a dialogue between Mr Kejriwal and the local residents. “Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will converse with the local residents of Noida on the foundational problems faced by them. The work has been ongoing to turn the rally into a historic movement,” they said.

The news of the two BJP leaders sharing stage with Mr Kejriwal has caused ripples in the political circles. Sources said that both Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha have held several meetings with the Delhi CM till date. Last month, Shatrughan Sinha had shared stage with Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other AAP leaders when he was invited as the chief guest at a skill development programme for manual scavengers. He had praised the AAP government’s initiative in Delhi and had indirectly hit out at the BJP leadership.
