Juvenile held from Assam for robbery
New Delhi: A juvenile, working as a domestic help absconding after committing theft of Rs 10 lakh in Sainik Farms area, was apprehended from Assam by PS Neb Sarai. Stolen cash of Rs 6.01 lakh and expensive electronic gadgets have been recovered.
The police said that on May 30, the complainant Harcharan Singh reported that in the afternoon, he left for airport to pick his wife leaving behind three servants at home. When he came back, he found that Rs 10 lakh, which was kept as salary for employees of his factory in Himachal Pradesh, had been stolen. He reported that his servant, a juvenile, might have stolen the money as he had gone missing after the incident. In order to trace and apprehend the domestic help, the police took their step forward for investigation.
During the probe, the police obtained mobile phone number and other details of absconding domestic help.
The police team was unable to find him in Delhi as he kept travelling and was changing his location frequently. The team continued its efforts and based on input, was dispatched for Assam, where with Assam Railway police’s help, they apprehended the domestic help from Lamding Railway Station.
