Jindal family murder probe: Police still in the dark

Continuing the probe into the case, the police so far has questioned 50 people in this regard.

New Delhi: Almost 48 hours after the brutal murders of the high profile Jindal family members — who were found dead with their throats slit — had rocked the city on Saturday morning, the Delhi police is yet to achieve a breakthrough in the same.

Continuing the probe into the case, the police so far has questioned 50 people in this regard. In a concentrated effort, over 25 special teams have been formed to look into the case. An officer, privy to the probe, said that they have recovered all the jewellery, cash, and other valuables from the house of the four deceased women. Therefore, the question of murder for gain appears to be bleak.

On Sunday, the teams questioned all the members of the Jindal family. Police suspects someone close to the family may have been involved in the murders. The call record data of all the members are being retrieved.

The police is clueless about the motive behind the killings. According to sources, a comprehensive list of all the people who had access to the building, where the family lived, is being prepared. The list will have the names and other details of house maids, drivers, guards, etc.

On Saturday, four women, including a widow, 82, her three daughters, and a guard were found stabbed to death at their house in East Delhi’s Mansarovar Park. The four women lived in a joint family with 30 other family members in the same residential complex.
