Every single donation to party is accounted for, claims AAP
The media reports on AAP's donations originating from Central Board of Direct Taxes have no basis.
NEW DELHI: A day after the tax body pointed out alleged discrepancies in Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) actual and reported donations, the party claimed on Tuesday that every donation made to it has been accounted for and that all party accounts have been shared with the Central agencies on many occasions. “There are no irregularities in the accounts of the party,” the party said.
The newly elected RS MP, Narain Dass Gupta, said: “The media reports on AAP’s donations originating from Central Board of Direct Taxes have no basis. Section 138 of the Income Tax prohibits the sharing of information related to a political party’s files by related agencies or officers to any person.”
