The victim, a resident of Gagan Vihar in Meethapur and a Class 10 student has alleged that he was stabbed and hit with a stone by 2 of his classmates.

New Delhi: A 16-year-old boy was stabbed by two of his classmates, suspected to be minors, allegedly over his refusal to drink “beer” that they were forcibly trying to make him consume in Southeast Delhi’s Badarpur area.

The incident was reported on Saturday. The victim, Hani, a resident of Gagan Vihar in Meethapur and a student of Class 10 at a private school, has alleged that he was stabbed and hit with a stone by two of his classmates after he refused to consume beer with them.

Both the boys are absconding and the victim told the police that he was scared to venture out of the house following the incident. The victim said that the boys were known to him and on the day of the incident, they asked him to join thme on pretext of buying new clothes.

He added that he had a fight with the two boys one month ago and was assaulted by them. After he was called upon by the two, he thought they wanted to patch things up. Not suspecting their motives, the boy accompanied the two accused on a bike. But instead of going to a cloth shop, they stopped at the NTPC Railway Line, parked the vehicle and started consuming alcohol.

“I refused to drink despite their insistence and decided to leave. As I was leaving, one of them took out a knife and tried to stab me. I managed to save myself somehow by holding his hand but ended up with injuries on both my hands,” he said. Before the victim could react, the other boy lifted a stone from the railway line and hurled at him. As he started running away, the one carrying knife allegedly stabbed him on his neck and the two fled.

Hani managed to reach a nearby and informed the police. The police has registered a case of assault and wrongful confinement against the duo. “They are on the run. We have been talking to their parents and others and will soon catch them. We are also verifying the ages,” said a police officer.
