Aspiring model, 22, held for cheating colleagues
New Delhi: Delhi police of southwest district has arrested a 22-year-old aspiring model-turned-cheat for duping struggling models on the pretext of providing them roles, said the police on Thursday.
The accused was identified as Shubham alias Viraj Roy (22), who lives in Delhi's Uttam Nagar. He used to approach the struggling models pretending to be a casting director.
DCP (southwest) Devender Arya said, several complaints were received in past wherein, it was alleged that Viraj, who poses himself as a casting director used to call victims at hotels in Mahipalpur, New Delhi for photoshoots and profiling.
More than 15 aspiring models were duped by him. For the same, three cases of cheating have been registered against him. The accused who aspired to be a model but received a setback.
Getting inspired from a Bollywood movie, he schemed to dupe the aspiring models and opened a modeling agency called Dream For Success. When he would get the money from the victims for the photoshoot, he would no longer take their calls and fled.ith the money he
