New Delhi: Union minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Friday launched a “nukkad natak” (street play) campaign for promoting mobile app banking at Chandni Chowk. Dr Vardhan said that mobile app banking can be used even with ordinary cell phones and he assured traders and people that the speed with which people are adopting mobile banking, trade and life will normalise by January. Dr Vardhan alleged that all through political parties and leaders talked of corruption, black money, misuse of subsides, and denial of rightful opportunities of development for poor, but took no steps to curb these menaces. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has today taken steps to fight for the poor,” said Dr Vardhan.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of Delhi BJP Minority Morcha president Atif Rasheed, workers organised camps outside 23 prominent mosques of the national capital to apprise people about the benefits of mobile app banking.

Addressing the people, Mr Rasheed called upon them to open bank accounts and adopt mobile app banking.
