Delhi University students rock with Ayushmann Khurrana

New Delhi: The wait is finally over for Delhi University students for the annual fests in the national capital. It is time to rock and roll, dress up and show up, relishing the amusing ambience of Delhi University campuses, concerts and performances by renowned artists.

Radhika (19), who pursues her bachelors from DU, says their annual fests are one of the major reasons why some students actually get into DU. In fact, I am one of them; the day I got into varsity was the day I started preparing for all the upcoming annual fests that I would get to attend.

One of the prominent girls’ college of Delhi University, Lady Irwin, well-known for its annual fest, ‘Quintessence’ showcased some commendable enthusiasm, with the presence of hundredths of students, the aura of the college was happily vibrant and loud.

On Sunday, the crowd was so huge that at some point it became difficult for the administration to control the students, some of them were even seen striding the wall to enter. All this exuberance was just to get a glimpse of the  Vicky Donor fame actor and singer Ayushmann Khurrana, who performed at the college’s annual fest.

Flamboyant décor along with all the other arrangements at the college was praiseworthy. Disha (19), an Irwinite, said we had waited for this day for so long, my friends and I have been doing the spadework since past few months, we simply wanted everything enchanting and perfect. From past week we have been staying at the college till late nights and putting all our efforts to make it scintillating. We wanted to make it memorable for our teachers, Ayushmann, and for us of course.

Apart from the concert, the university made sure that there were variety of relishing food items. About eight to nine food stalls along with some other accessories stalls were present, few gaming stalls also grabbed students’ eyes.

Famous RJ Manan also performed and entertained with hilarious jokes and some loud music for students to shake their legs. He also gave some students a chance to dance on Ayushmann’s songs and selected ones were given a chance to meet Ayushmann personally and take a selfie.
