Army officer suspects wife's fidelity, beats her

The wife of the Army officer got the case registered in Delhi Cantt police station on April 8.

New Delhi: In an alleged case of domestic violence, a complaint has been registered against a lieutenant colonel, posted at Sena Bhawan, for suspecting his wife’s fidelity and beating her up.

According to the police, no arrest has been made so far. The wife of the Army officer got the case registered in Delhi Cantt police station on April 8. According to the complainant, the Army officer has been married for the last 13 years and has two daughters.

The incident took place on April 4. Lt. Col. Ramandeep’s wife in her complaint stated that she along with her husband attended a party in the Delhi Cantt area. While returning home, the officer picked a quarrel with her over a text message and then he allegedly beat her up mercilessly. It wasn’t the first time that she was beaten up. In a bid to save herself, she left the house at night on April 8. She took the car and went to Rao Tula Marg Hopsital. Seeing her injuries, the doctors informed the police making it a medico-legal case. The woman approached the jurisdictional police station after recovering and filed her complaint. She stated that the officer had been harassing her for last many years.
