Shooter wanted in kidnap, murder cases arrested
New Delhi: The Delhi police arrested a shooter in connection with cases of shootout, attempt to murder and kidnapping. The accused has been evading court proceedings and had been declared a proclaimed offender.
The accused, identified as Sunny alias Prem, 34, was a supplier of illicit liquor.
According to Delhi police, he was evading the court proceedings of his previous cases and was declared a proclaimed offender.
Following a tip-off, sleuths of inter-state cell (ISC) said the accused, who was involved in the above-mentioned cases, is presently residing in Hastsal and would be coming near Surya Laxmi Hospital from Vikas Nagar.
On this information, a police team was formed which laid a trap for the accused and at the instance of the informer, accused Sunny was apprehended.
On interrogation, he disclosed that he is bad character of Sagarpur police station, and was earlier involved in supplying of illicit liquor. On November 19 last year, he along with his aides, Bhola, Vikas alias Mohit and Vishal alias Sonu, had beaten up one Naveen, a resident of Sagarpur, to establish their supremacy in the area.
One person, Rahul of Sagarpur played a role in saving Naveen.The accused also wanted to eliminate Pradeep and Rahul. On November 20, last, he along with Mohit and Sonu stopped Rahul, beat him up and then forcibly put him in his car and threw him near in the vicinity of Tihar Jail .
