Gang involved in heinous crimes busted
New Delhi: With the arrest of three persons, the police claimed to have busted a gang of criminals who were involved in many heinous crimes. Two illegal country-made weapons along with four live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle were also recovered from their possession.
The arrested are Danish Shriram (25) Hussain (26) and Nazim (31), belonged to a gang involved in heinous crime.
Alok Kumar, Joint Commissioner of police crime branch said that on April 9, secret information was received by the police officials of SIU, crime branch that three desperate criminals would be coming at Shastri Park, Zero Pushta on a stolen motorcycle with the intention to commit heinous crime like robbery or snatching and the criminals may also be carrying fire arms.
A team of officers of the SIU/crime branch led by inspector Upendra Kumar Singh swung into actionand a trap was laid near red light, Zero Pushta, Shastri Park, which led to the arrest of the three.
During questioning, the police found that accused persons — Danish and Nazim — were previously involved in various cases of murder, rape, robbery, theft, violation of the arms act and many others.
It was also found out in the interogation that the accused persons used to work as daily wage laborers in factories. Due to their low income, the accused took the illegal path to become rich. To inch towards their ambition, they came in contact with each other and started committing crime to earn easy money.
They are previously involved in robbery or snatching and for this they used the stolen bikes or scooters as their mode of commute.
It must be noted that the present motorcycle, on which they were riding was also stolen from the area of Keshavpuram in Delhi.
On the day of arrest they had come to the spot to commit robbery or snatching and for this they procured the two country made guns and live cartridges. Further investigation in the case is being done.
