Rani Bagh case: Verbal spat video surfaces
New Delhi: After the station house officer of Rani Bagh police station was taken off duty and sent to the district police lines, while six other police personnel who had allegedly beaten up the man were suspended, few videos have come up in which the victim Surender Aggarwal and his relatives could be seen having a verbal spat with the police.
These videos were shot by the police personals of the station. In total nine video clips have been sent to the senior police official.
In one such video relative of Aggarwal could be seen saying that, he had sent the station house officer of Prashant vihar to police lines. He further added, night was yours now the morning will be ours, it won’t matter if I spend Rs 10 crore but I will not spare you. Even Aggarwal could also be seen saying foul things.
In some videos police could be seen saying ill things while in some they are silent. The police are planning to submit these videos as proof in the court. However there are some questions whose answers won’t be with the police, like why did they beat a juvenile in the station or why did they towed a locked scooty.
Why the statements of the PCR personnel were not recorded in the station and only three police officers go for medical check leaving the other five?
Why police didn’t take Surender and his sons for medical check up?
In this whole incident the Delhi police was under political pressure and this is why SHO was sent to district police lines and six other police personnel were suspended without any delay as the victim is a member of a political party.
However, further investigation is under way.
