New Delhi: Reacting to the victory of BJP-SAD candidate in the Rajouri Garden Assembly seat, the BJP said that people have strongly rejected a fascist Tughlaqi ruler like Arvind Kejriwal.

BJP national vice-president and the in-charge of party city unit, Shyam Jaju, said that the result at Rajouri Garden and in other parts of the country established the fact beyond any doubt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most popular leader in the country.

“Delhiites have rejected the politics of lies and false promises of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and will express similar faith in BJP in the ensuing civic polls,” added Mr Jaju.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari claimed that the bypoll results from across the country have once again proved that the ‘Modi wave’ is ruling high even in the national capital.

“Mr Kejriwal should understand now that it is not the EVM but people who give verdict in a democracy. It is a day when people have strongly rejected the fascist Tughlaqi ruler Kejriwal,” said Mr Tiwari.

Parvesh Verma, the Lok Sabha member from West Delhi, under which Rajouri Garden Assembly falls, said that Rajouri Garden apparently looks like a very urban seat but the fact is that in the Assembly, the four wards are like mini Delhi and the results show the sentiment of the city against the Kejriwal government.

“Rajouri Garden has a village population, a large number of Sikh population, Muslim and Schedule Caste population clusters, and a large number of habitants from other states live here in addition to others. The convincing victory of the BJP candidate in all the four wards is a slap on the face of Delhi chief minister who is in the habit of making tall claims,” added Mr Verma.
