Woman calls goons to thrash driver

New Delhi: In yet another incidence of road rage, a woman driver called a gang of boys who thrashed a motorist when he demanded payment in lieu of the damages to his car caused by the erring woman driver.

It all began when a reckless woman driver refused to pay for the damages caused by her. She allegedly also made a call to a gang of goons, who mercilessly beat the driver, hit him with brick, and fled the spot.

The police said that the incident took place on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Anil, a resident of Jawahiri, who works for one Mahendra Yadav. Probe reveals that Anil was heading towards a petrol pump on Outer Ring Road in Paschim Vihar. He was travelling in his Toyota Innova. As his car reached Paschim Vihar from Beri Bagh, a Nissan Micra driven by a woman approached from the opposite end and hit his car on one side, leaving a dent.

According to his plaint to the police, after the incident, Anil pulled his car over and asked the lady to not leave the place until he informed his owner about the damage caused to the car. While he was placing a call to Mr Yadav, the woman also made a call.

In no time a gang of goons arrived at the spot and picked up a quarrel with Anil.

When he tried reasoning with the gang of four youths, one of the youth allegedly claimed to be the area Pradhan and mercilessly thrashed him.

Anil further alleged that while the goons were thrashing him, the woman tried to flee in her car.

Moreover, when he managed to push the rowdies away and tried to stop her, he was dragged and beaten by the men. One of them picked up a stone and hit him on his head before fleeing the spot. Passersby informed the police who visited the spot and took Anil to a nearby hospital.

According to the doctors, Anil has sustained severe injuries to his eye, forehead, and abdomen. Based on the complaint, the police has registered a case. A probe in this connection has been undertaken.
