Burglars enter residence of Patiala House court judge

New Delhi: In yet another example of deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital, burglars entered a serving judge’s house and carried away electronic equipment.

The CCTV footage clearly shows a suspect entering the judge’s house in Saket and taking the stolen goods.

The theft took place on March 10 evening. An FIR in this regard was lodged on Tuesday at Saket police station.

According to the FIR, Patiala House court additional sessions judge Gaurav Rao is the owner of the house.

In his complaint, Mr Rao said that there was load shedding in the area. So he went to check as to what went wrong as there should be a backup at his house with over five inverters in house . When he went and checked, he found three batteries were missing.  

He said when he went to check the CCTV camera, a man was seen entering his house’s premises on March 10. The man entered the house at 5 pm in a three-seater vehicle and left in it later.

It was also found that the judge’s grandson’s birthday was celebrated on the front lawns. The guests left at 4.30 pm and the gates weren’t locked. The Saket police has ordered an inquest into the complaint.
