She said if the SC wants CBI to continue let it be. “We filed the petition in the interest of the institution.”

New Delhi: Reacting to the verdict advocate Kamini Jaiswal, the petitioner said, “this judgment is neither here nor there. We know the law and we never said FIR was against Judges. We only said it may lead to Judges. We wanted SIT probe to be headed by retired Chief Justice of India to monitor the probe instead of CBI.”

She said if the SC wants CBI to continue let it be. “We filed the petition in the interest of the institution.” Asked what would happen to the other petition filed by advocate Prashant Bhushan through Campaign for Judicial Accountability and Reforms, she said “yes. This verdict will have an impact on that petition.”

The president of the Supreme Court Bar Association. R.S. Suri while welcoming the verdict said, “This petition causes injury to judiciary and to the bar also.”
