Thieves steal comp from MP residence
New Delhi: Unidentified thieves struck at the house of Shiv Sena’s member of Parliament Anandrao Vithoba Adsul and stole his computer while he was asleep. A case was lodged with the Tilak Marg police station, New Delhi.
A senior police official from the Tilak Marg police station said that Adsul, an MP from the Amravati constituency of Maharashtra, had come to Delhi to attend an important meeting.
“After attending the meeting Mr Adsul had gone back to his government bungalow at Pandara Road. He had his dinner and went for an evening walk. After coming back he went to bed. However, Adsul left the door ajar. When he woke up the next day, he realised his computer had been stolen. The incident took place while he was asleep,”the police official said.
The official further said that Adsul had first called for domestic help and other staff to know whether the theft actually took place. Once he was sure about the theft he decided to report the matter to the police. The police said that Rahul Solanki, his private secretary lodged a written complaint to the local police station following which a team of police officials was sent for the inspection.
“The police team recorded the statement of a few servants. We also have lifted some forensic evidence from the spot. Later, a case under section 380 (theft at dwelling house) of the IPC was lodged,” the police said. Further probe into the matter is on, the official added.
