Teenage girl raped by two at birthday party

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two of her friends after she allegedly bunked school and went to attend a friend’s birthday party at West Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area on Tuesday. The girl was given a spiked drink. After she consumed it, she lost consciousness. When she woke up, she found that she has been raped and the duo accused allegedly threw her near a hospital in West Delhi, the police said on Thursday.

“One of the accused, a 17-year-old boy, was apprehended, while another accused Sahil (18) was arrested on Tuesday late evening, said Vijay Kumar, DCP (West).

The incident was reported at around 3 pm when a passerby spotted a girl lying on the roadside, asking for help. Once the passer-by approached her, the girl disclosed that she was thrown on the roadside by two boys who sexually assaulted her, said a senior police official. She was later taken to a police station by her father.
