New Delhi: In a suspected case of rivalry, the private parts of a man was allegedly chopped off after he was dragged into a van. The incident took place on Thursday morning in Bhalswa Dairy.

The family of the victim also alleged misbehaviour on the part of the jurisdictional police. They alleged that when they approached the police, it cited jurisdictional issues and shooed them away.

According to the police, the victim used to assume the guise of women and danced at religious gatherings. A resident of Jahangirpuri, he is known to run his own small ‘mandali.’ The youth had gone to attend a similar religious function on Wednesday night where he had allegedly decked up and danced.

In his statement to the police, the youth stated that after finishing the programme, he was supposed to leave for another place when four men came in a van and allegedly put a handkerchief on his mouth. Following this, he lost consciousness. On Thursday morning, when he woke up around 5.00 am, he allegedly found himself near the Bhalswa Dairy canal. He was in immense pain.

The victim made a call to his family, who in turn rushed to the spot and got him admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital.
