Minor molested, attacked by jilted tuition teacher
New Delhi: A jilted tuition teacher allegedly attempted to murder a 15-year-old minor, who sustained stab injuries on her neck, hand and stomach after she resisted his attempt to outrage her modesty and molest her. The accused reportedly attacked the minor on Saturday evening at Kirti Nagar at West Delhi.
A student of Class 9 and a resident of Kirti Nagar, Ritu (name changed) used to attend tuition classes at Naveen’s rented accommodation in her neighbourhood.
Around 5.30 p.m on Saturday, Naveen allegedly attacked the minor who was standing near her house with sharp weapons and fled the spot. She was rushed to Acharaya Hospital, where doctors treated her and informed the police.
In her complaint to the police, she said that she was tutored by Naveen for five months and during those five months, the offender used to attempt to molest her by touching her inappropriately. She decided to tell her parents about Naveen’s intentions following which she discontinued her tuitions.
However, the complainant alleged that this didn’t deter Naveen and he began to trouble her whenever he found her alone. On Saturday morning too, Naveen was allegedly misbehaved with her, after which she raised an alarm and informed her brother, who in turn warned Naveen.
To avenge the humiliation, a jilted Naveen allegedly attacked the minor with a sharp-edged weapon injuring her on her stomach, head and hand before fleeing the spot. Based on the girl’s statement, the Kirti Nagar police apprehended Naveen on late Saturday night and registered a case of attempt to murder and threat for life against him.
