New Delhi: The Delhi police narcotics squad arrested two accused persons for illegal smuggling of narcotics drugs in Delhi. 45 gms. Heroin has been recovered from their possession, said the police on Wednesday.
The arrested accused were identified as, Bhure Singh alias Lamboo (34) and Sikander (36).
According to the police, information was received that one person involved in drug trafficking would come on a bike near New Delhi Railway Station, Ajmere Gate, to supply the drugs.
A trap was immediately laid by the police near the expected spot and at the instance of secret informer, the targeted TSR driver was overpowered. One transparent polythene, containing narcotics was recovered. On verification, the drug was learnt to be heroin and weighed 45 gm.
